Isogenic iPS Cell Lines
An isogenic iPS cell (iPSC) line refers to a cell line that has been genetically engineered from the parental iPS cell line by introducing a deletion, an insertion, or a substitution to the genome. The isogenic iPSC lines are ideally suitable for establishing in vitro cell models that contain specific genetic modifications for both fundamental research and clinical study on various diseases including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases.
Alstem provides you with a set of isogenic, gene-edited iPSC lines carrying main APOE variants (APOE-ε2, ε3, and ε4) and an APOE knock-out line. These human APOE isogenic iPSC lines are derived from human bone marrow CD34+ mononuclear cells by transiently ectopic expression of OCT4, SOX2, KLF4, and L-MYC genes using Alstem episomal vectors.
